Recipe: Slow Cooker Apple Overnight Oats

In a hurry in the morning? Time poor? Never get to eat breakfast because you run out of time to actually prepare anything but a coffee, that usually gets consumed cold anyway? Well, this is the recipe for you!

What’s great about this recipe is that it can be reheated, so if you decide to make a big batch, you will have a couple of days with breakfast already prepared…all it needs is reheating.
Plus you know exactly what has gone into making this as it is a sugar free version.

Easy and delicious, slow cooker apple overnight oats are great, especially in winter.  You will have full bellies for school and work!

Slow Cooker Apple Overnight Oats

  • Servings: Approx 4

Ingredients


4 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp butter, unsalted
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups rolled oats
1 apple, peeled, cored and diced
Optional extras: Nuts, seeds, sultanas, banana, maple syrup, milk, dash of cinnamon

Directions

  1. Lightly spray the slow cooker with cooking spray
  2. Peel, core and dice apple
  3. Place all ingredients into the slow cooker (including apple, but NOT the optional extras)
  4. Stir once and turn on low for 6 hours


In the morning/after 6 hours: Spoon into bowls and add your optional extras to the top.
