Recipe: Energy Balls

Let’s face it, there are so many variations of energy ball recipes out there, you could google for hours until you found the one that caught your eye. Energy balls in my eyes,  are a trial and error. A little trial and a whole lotta error! I’ve had many errors. But I have found a handful that I constantly go back to. I found this little gem of a recipe..super easy and super yummy, great for on the run.

Energy Balls

  • Servings: Approx 12
  • Difficulty: easy

Ingredients


2 cups rolled oats
1 cup almond or peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup sultanas
1/2 cup coconut flakes

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl
  2. Roll into golf ball sized balls
  3. Let set in the fridge for 20 mins before consuming

You can add different ingredients to suit your tastes; chocolate chips, chopped dried apricots, dried cranberries.

If you don’t like peanut butter you can make your own almond butter, click here on how to make your own. You can also halve the nut butter if you think it’s too much.
